 National Quality Supervision and inspection of quality of canned fruits and vegetables

 
In order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and promote the healthy development of the canned fruit and vegetable industry, the State Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection (AQSIQ) organized a spot check on the quality of canned fruit and vegetable products in 12 provinces including Beijing, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Shandong, Hunan, Hubei and Henan. 150 kinds of products (excluding export products) produced by 110 enterprises directly under the Central Government, the qualified rate of the physical quality of the products is 86%.
 
According to GB11671-2003 Hygienic Standard for Canned Fruits and Vegetables, GB2760-1996 Hygienic Standard for the Use of Food Additives, GB7718-2004 General Principles for Labelling Prepackaged Foods and other mandatory national standards, the sampling inspection on the sensory requirements, net content, solids content of canned fruits and vegetables tin, lead, total arsenic, micro-growth The 18 items including benzoic acid, sorbic acid, saccharin sodium, acetamide, cyclamate, synthetic pigment, amaranth, carmine, lemon yellow, sunset yellow, bright blue and food label were tested.
 
The main quality problems found in spot checks are:
 
1, individual products exceed the scope of the use of food additives. The compulsory national standard GB2760-1996 "Hygienic Standard for the Use of Food Additives" stipulates: Canned fruits can be limited to the addition of acetamide; Canned orange slices and orange slices can be limited to the addition of cyclamate; Canned vegetables can not be added sweeteners; All canned can not be added saccharin sodium, benzoic acid, sorbic acid. In the spot checks, some products were detected saccharin sodium, benzoic acid and sorbic acid.
 
2. The net content and solid content of individual products are not qualified. Net content is the total amount of solid and liquid contents in a can, and solid content is the amount of solid matter in a can. Spot checks showed that the net content and solid content of individual products were not in line with the requirements of food labels.
 
3, individual product label tagging is not standardized. Product label is a clear commitment of the enterprise to the society, reflecting the true quality of the product. Individual products label is not standardized in spot checks. It is mainly that the specific name of the food additives used is not indicated in the ingredient list, and the product grade is not indicated.
 
In view of the main quality problems found in the spot check, the State Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection has ordered the quality and technical supervision departments of all localities to deal with the production enterprises whose product quality is not up to standard in the spot check in accordance with the law of product quality and other relevant laws and regulations, and to rectify them within a time limit. At the same time, we should publicize products with good quality and their production enterprises and guide consumption. AQSIQ will continue to increase the supervision and spot check of canned fruits and vegetables to create a comfortable and satisfactory consumption environment for consumers.

3, do not buy products that have changed shape. When canned fruits and vegetables are contaminated by microorganisms and lose their edible value, the phenomenon of "fat hearing" often occurs, that is, the volume of the outer package of the product is increased by naked eyes. In the course of transportation, the products packed in metal cans are often subject to the collision of objects, and the outer wall is often sunken. The air is easy to enter, resulting in the deterioration of the contents. It is found that the products under the above conditions can not be eaten.
 
4, when buying canned fruits and vegetables, distinguish canned sugar and canned syrup. Sugar water canned sugar concentration is generally around 15%, which is more suitable for direct consumption. Sugar syrup can have high sugar concentration, more than 65%, only suitable for food processing. So when consumers buy, they should see the content of sugar in the food labels, distinguish them and buy them.
 
5. Consumers should try their best to buy the products produced by regular enterprises or enterprises with a certain scale in the main producing areas of the products in the reputable shopping malls. When purchasing, check the production date and shelf life carefully, and carefully check the integrity of the outer packing.
 
6. The content of water and sugar in canned fruits and vegetables is very high. When the canned fruits and vegetables are uncovered, it is easy to cause a large number of microorganisms to propagate, causing the rancidity of the products and losing the edible value. It is recommended that consumers can eat fruits and vegetables as soon as possible after eating.
