From 1 to October this year, the export value of canned bamboo shoots in Jieyang amounted to nearly US $40 million.

 

The reporter learned from Jieyang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that from January to October of this year, the canned bamboo shoots of Jieyang, which had been inspected and qualified for export, had a total of 30,000 tons, with a value of 39,495,000 US dollars. The export volume was in the forefront of the province.

 

At present, Jieyang bamboo shoot planting area of about 90,000 mu, the annual output of raw bamboo shoots nearly 300,000 tons, is the largest bamboo shoot planting base in Guangdong. Over the years, Jieyang bamboo shoot canned export industry has developed rapidly, products are exported to Japan, Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, "Maotou Boy" has become a "pillar" of agricultural foreign exchange plate.

 

In recent years, Japan, Europe and the United States and other countries and regions have issued quite stringent food safety and hygiene quality standards, which have made very strict limits on the residue of agricultural chemicals, and have a greater impact on the export of bamboo shoots canned in Jieyang. In order to support export enterprises to expand exports, Jieyang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has explored a way to "control agricultural residues, ensure quality, promote exports" and grasp the source of products. At the same time, strengthen the technical support and guidance to enterprises, actively promote the quality management system certification work, for the "Lingnan Shanzhen" campaign for the international market escort. At present, seven of the 11 canned export enterprises in Jieyang jurisdiction have been certified by the food safety management system or HACCP certification. Ten of them have successfully obtained the "pass" of the United States through the verification of the conformity of the low acid canned import. The number of canned export enterprises ranks first in Guangdong Province and occupies the "half of the country".
