Tankaris, chief executive of Latvia's Brivais Vilnis, said in an interview with the agency that the company plans to export to Finland and Mexico this year, is working to obtain certificates for export to China and plans to expand its business by entering U.S. supermarket chains.

 

Free Wave is one of the largest aquatic processing enterprises in the Baltic Sea and the earliest in the region to be certified by the European Union's 91/493/EEC Marine Product Quality Standard. Its main products are smoked oil-soaked herring canned fish. Its turnover and profit in 2014 were 12.84 million euros and 416.5 million euros.
