The gloomy summer weather is suitable for the hunting of mushrooms
This summer I spent the least time on the river, considering the rest of the summer schedule, this fact is unlikely to change. Rain, more rain and more rain, but have made the river expand, in some cases, absolutely dangerous. Many lakes have entered a slow tailless state. The rain stopped my ship in the garage. I can only imagine its influence on the rural land and psychology of rural Minnesota.
There are usually Yin and Yang in nature. What is harmful to some people is good for another person. In this case, the hot and humid days and the significant rainfall of the past few weeks are the most difficult nesting birds, such as pheasants and anglers in streams and lakes. All heat and rain are good for mushroom growth. Summer finches grow under this special condition.
Sausage is a respectable mushroom that tastes good (slightly pepper) and is rich in food among eaters. They are popular in pasta and braised Italian rice. The singer is blonde, blue-eyed, yellow to orange with apricot aroma. They lie on the floor of the forest and rarely see anything like that.
Chanterelles is gregarious or scattered. They have a flat wavy hat with a slightly downward curved edge, a funnel-shaped, a solid stem with very obvious ridge gills from under the cap to the stem. Check the branchs of the fork and the transverse vein. These are the unique features of the passageway. They can be found around oak or coniferous trees from July to October. Do not choose less than one inch to allow time to distinguish their characteristics.
When you start searching for cockscomb, you find an organic forest floor and you get a lot of water. If you find areas where water passes through the rill, follow it up and down, you may enter the channel, because their spores can be carried by land currents. Check the area near the wetland. Maple, oak and poplar are usually good surrounding trees; red, white pine and spruce are good conifers.
When picking cockscomb, cut them up with a knife or scissors. Put mushrooms in baskets or mesh bags to allow spores to spread and prevent digging into soil that destroys mycelia or nutritionally subsoil. Clean your passageway, quickly clean and check dirt. Cut the mushrooms in half, and carefully observe the soil or gravel that may contain fungi in the stem. Track rain events and new searches. At this rate, it will be the summer of a record book.
