According to the data released by Lianyungang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau recently, in the first half of this year, our city exported 12,430.10 tons of canned goods with a total value of 13,528 million US dollars, an increase of 13.46% and 9.08% respectively compared with the same period last year, showing a good trend of both quantity and price rising.

 

The export volume of canned fruits in our city has always been in the forefront of the province. Canned fruits have become one of the main export varieties of food in our city. At present, there are 4 processing and exporting canning enterprises in the whole city. The products are sold well in more than 60 countries and regions, such as Japan, the United States and Britain, which not only effectively promote the local economic development, but also solve the employment problem of labor force.

 

It is understood that the Lianyungang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has strengthened its research on the laws and regulations of canned food abroad, and provided timely information on the laws, regulations and processing techniques of food related issued by foreign authorities, so as to break the technical barriers set up abroad and promote the export of canned fruits.
