According to the citrus harvest forecast in Valencia, Spain, the production of canned orange raw materials is expected to decrease by 24% this year.
Citrus production in Valencia accounted for 75% of Spain's total production. It is estimated that 1.35 million tons of canned orange raw materials will be produced in the 2017/18 season, which is 24% less than the previous season.

Germany is the world's largest export market for canned oranges. Of the 68,800 tons of canned oranges exported by Spain last year, 41,000 tons were purchased by Germany. China, Spain and Turkey are the main suppliers to Germany.
