In April, Spanish insiders said that the price of canned oranges with 24 x 11 oz specifications and 5% maximum breakage rate was 12.50 euros per box ($14.10 per box) and that of canned oranges with 6 x A9 specifications and 5% maximum breakage rate was 25.0 euros per box, both of which were FOB Spanish delivery prices. The price is in line with the quotation at the end of February. Others in the industry said that the FOB Cartagena or Valencia delivery price for canned oranges with 24x11oz specifications and the maximum breakage rate of 5% was 13.20 Euro/box, 6x A9 specifications and 25.80 Euro/box for products with the maximum breakage rate of 5%. Due to shortage of raw materials and shrinkage of production and processing, the country's orange canneries are now out of stock.
