According to the statistics of the Canned Food Chamber of Commerce, the purchase price of raw mushroom materials for canned mushrooms in Zhangzhou this year has risen nearly 40% compared with the same period last year, reaching a record high in our city. Tang Duyuan, secretary-general of the Chamber of Commerce, said the mushroom price rise was mainly due to the shortage of market supply and demand.
 
It is understood that most canning enterprises in our city do not have their own raw material production base, can only purchase raw materials from hooked farmers. At present, there is no large-scale mushroom cultivation in our city, mushroom cultivation is still in the state of individual cultivation, can not provide long-term fixed supply assurance to enterprises. In addition, in the past two years, Zhangzhou's economy has been transformed from agriculture to industrialization, and many farmers have gone out to work, resulting in a decrease in mushroom planting area and production.
 
On the other hand, due to the shortage of local supply, the phenomenon of mushroom canned in other places in our city is quite common. Every year, canning enterprises have to buy mushrooms in large quantities from Hubei, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, Guangxi and other Western and Northern regions. In the past two years, the mushroom canned market has greatly encouraged the enthusiasm of cultivating and processing mushrooms in other places. These areas have gradually formed their own mushroom industry chain, reduced the mushroom sales to Zhangzhou, and increased the mushroom sales price.
 
The shortage of raw materials and the high purchase price make the canning enterprises face a dilemma: on the one hand, the demand of the international market continues to expand, business opportunities are unlimited, on the other hand, the mushroom canned sales prices can not catch up with the increase in raw materials prices, more production means more losses.
