It is understood that the export country of these condiment cans is Italy, involving two varieties (canned watermelon and willow bacon sauce, canned meat-flavored tomato sauce) a total of more than 300 bottles. As the producers of the imported cans are not listed in the registration list of overseas production enterprises of the State Certification and Accreditation Supervision and Administration Commission of China, and in accordance with the requirements of the registration management regulations for overseas production enterprises of imported food, Lishui Inspection and Quarantine Bureau issued the Notice of Inspection and Quarantine Processing according to law, and dispatched personnel to supervise the goods. In recent years, imported food has been widely favored by domestic consumers. From January to May this year, according to the statistics of Lishui Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, there were 143 batches of imported food in the jurisdiction, the value of which was 310.26 million US dollars, increasing by 495% and 451% respectively over the same period of last year. The volume and price of imported food showed explosive growth. In order to safeguard the safety of the people's tongues, Lishui Inspection and Quarantine Bureau further strengthens the supervision of food safety, implements full coverage of risk monitoring of imported food submitted for inspection, and resolutely carries out strict return or supervision and destruction of unqualified imported food detected, and strictly guards against national security. Consumers have the right to ask the distributors for the "Inspection and Quarantine Certificate of Inbound Goods". The certificate is issued by the inspection and quarantine department after the inspection and Quarantine of imported food has passed the inspection and quarantine requirements. The certificate indicates the detailed information of imported food including the production batch number.

At the same time, Lishui Inspection and Quarantine Bureau also reminds relevant importing enterprises that before importing unfamiliar products for the first time, it is better to know the product access information through the website of the State Administration of Quality Inspection and Quarantine or consult the inspection and quarantine department to avoid causing losses. In addition, foreign producers of meat, aquatic products, dairy products and bird's nests are required to obtain China's registration permit before they are eligible to export this kind of food to China.
