In the first three quarters of this year, a total of 16.5 million tons of canned marine fish were exported to Ningbo, with a value of 37.9 million US dollars, up 26.15% and 25.85% respectively from the same period last year.

 

 

 

It is understood that the canned fish, tuna, sardines and canned salmon can be exported to Ningbo. The main trading countries are more than 40 countries and regions including the United States, the European Union, South Africa, Malaysia and Australia. Among them, exports to the United States, the European Union and other markets increased significantly. According to statistics, exports to the United States amounted to 13.18 million U.S. dollars from January to September this year and to the European Union amounted to 3.8 million U.S. dollars, up 64.75% and 171.43% respectively from the same period last year. Exports to Europe and the United States accounted for 44.8% of Ningbo's total

 

 

 

It is reported that with the continuous development of European and American markets for canned fish export, Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has actively taken three major measures to help investigate the quality risks of canned fish export and promote the steady improvement of product quality.

 

 

 

Through regular supervision, enterprise discussion, business training and other forms, we constantly strengthen the awareness of quality subject, legal awareness and integrity of enterprises. In daily supervision, enterprises are required to strictly implement HACCP quality management system, and closely monitor the key control points of canned raw materials procurement, sealing and sterilization. At the same time, in view of the characteristics of large output and insufficient storage capacity of canned enterprises, risk management of export inspection is implemented to reduce the proportion of canned spot inspection, and self-inspection is strengthened in the production process, thus greatly speeding up the speed of product inspection and realizing the transformation from product supervision to the whole process supervision.

 

 

 

In addition, Ningbo National Inspection actively recommended enterprises in the jurisdiction to register or file with the United States, the European Union and other countries and regions, guided enterprises to implement HACCP, BRC and other system certification, continuously improving Ningbo's international awareness of canned goods; improved information management of export warning notifications, timely sending foreign latest technical barriers to trade and warnings to enterprises in the jurisdiction. Inform and guide enterprises to revise enterprise standards and quality management system in time to avoid the risk of returning canned goods.
