Fujian Province has developed mushroom processing and export industry chain, and is one of the main export provinces of mushroom canned in China. From January to July this year, the export of canned mushrooms in Fujian Province was 148,000 tons, an increase of 30.6% over the same period last year, with a value of $200 million, an increase of 56.1%.

 

 

 

According to the statistics of Fuzhou Customs on the 24th, from January to July this year, Fujian Province exported 36,000 tons, 22,000 tons and 16,000 tons of canned mushrooms to the European Union, Russia and ASEAN, respectively, increasing by 8%, 1.3 times and 33.3%. The total exports to the above 3 places account for 49.8% of the total export volume of canned mushrooms in Fujian Province in the same period. In addition, exports to the United States amounted to 11 thousand tons, an increase of 12.7%, accounting for 7.4%.

 

From the point of view of exports, Zhangzhou and Xiamen are the main export areas. From 1 to July, Zhangzhou exported 72 thousand tons of canned mushrooms, an increase of 38.4%; and Xiamen exported 71 thousand tons, an increase of 22.6%. The two places account for 96.6% of the total export volume of canned mushrooms in the same period.

 

Analysts from Fuzhou Customs said that the steady growth of mushroom canned export in Fujian Province this year benefited from the support of the state policy on the one hand, on the other hand, from the emergence of industrial cluster effect.

 

According to reports, since the 1990s, the canned food production and processing industry in Fujian Province has gradually developed and expanded. At present, a canned food processing industry cluster with the core of Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou Delta and the main products of mushrooms and asparagus cans has been formed, and has become a national leading enterprise in the same industry.
