The Russian Federation's service veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance departments have not yet made final testing reports on Latvian canned fish products, so Russia still imposes an import ban on Latvian aquatic products.

 

 

 

Since June 2015, Russia has imposed an import ban on Latvian canned fish products that violate Russian standards for hygienic and epidemic-proof fish.

 

 

 

Latvia has been consulting with Russia for new inspection and quarantine. It is not clear which Latvian companies have been allowed to continue exporting to Russia, which have been removed from the export list, and the major fish canneries are waiting for news.
