From January to October of this year, 20,555 batches and 60,200 tons of canned fish were reported to be exported from Zhangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, up 17.1% and 11.1% respectively, compared with the same period last year. While the global economy is still in the stage of deep adjustment and the consumption capacity of the international market is declining, the export of canned fish from Zhangzhou Sea has exceeded 60,000 tons and achieved double-digit growth.

 

 

 

Canned fish in the sea is a newly developed high value added variety in recent years by the Zhangzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau. It is also a new growth point for Zhangzhou's Canned exports. At present, canned fish in the sea is already the second largest export canned goods in Zhangzhou, mainly including canned mackerel, sardines, canned tuna and so on.

 

 

 

Since 2016, the Zhangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has taken a number of measures to promote the steady growth of the export of canned Marine Fisheries in its jurisdiction, and helped the Chamber of Commerce of the Canning Industry of Zhangzhou to build a comprehensive service platform for the technical information of the quality of canned food in China. Through this platform, information about domestic and foreign policies and regulations, technical standards, risk warning and other information can be released to help enterprises understand foreign standards and regulations in time, make full use of foreign tariff preferential policies, and further expand exports.

 

 

 

At the same time, we will organize training courses for key posts (sealing and sterilizing) of export food planning protection and canning enterprises to help promote the quality management of enterprises; help guide enterprises to establish self-inspection and self-control system from raw materials to finished products according to the requirements of export target countries, and ensure that export products achieve "zero notification" abroad.

 

 

 

In addition, we actively recommend qualified enterprises to register with the outside world to help open up high-end markets such as the United States, the European Union, Russia and Australia. This year, Zhangzhou tuna cans were exported to the United States for the first time, filling the gap in the export of fishing in the Zhangzhou Sea, and the export of fishing cans in the European and American seas doubled. Implementing the reform of export food law inspection system, adopting new rapid customs clearance modes such as "no paper inspection report" and "report on release" to ensure smooth customs clearance.
