From January to October this year, 2055 batches and 602,000 tons of seafood canned exports were reported under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, which increased by 17.1% and 11.1% respectively over the same period of last year. Under the condition that the global economy is still in the stage of deep adjustment and the consumption capacity of the international market is declining, the export of seafood canned products in Zhangzhou has exceeded 60,000 tons, achieving double-digit growth.

 

 

 

Canned fish in the sea is a newly developed high value added variety in recent years by the Zhangzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau. It is also a new growth point for Zhangzhou's Canned exports. At present, canned fish in the sea is already the second largest export canned goods in Zhangzhou, mainly including canned mackerel, sardines, canned tuna and so on.

 

 

 

Since 2016, Zhangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has taken a number of measures to promote the sustainable and stable growth of marine fishing canned exports in its jurisdiction, and to help the Chamber of Commerce of Zhangzhou Canned Industry set up a comprehensive service platform for technical information of Chinese canned food quality. Through this platform, domestic and foreign policies and regulations, technical standards, risk warning and other information will be released to help enterprises timely understand foreign standards and regulations, make full use of foreign tariff preferential policies, and further expand exports.

 

 

 

At the same time, training courses for key positions (sealing and sterilizing) of export food protection plan and export canned production enterprises will be held to help improve quality management of enterprises, and to help guide enterprises to establish self-inspection and self-control system from raw materials to finished products according to the requirements of export target countries, so as to ensure that export products achieve "zero notification" abroad.

 

 

 

In addition, we actively recommend qualified enterprises to register abroad to help develop high-end markets such as the United States, the European Union, Russia and Australia. This year, Zhangzhou tuna cans were exported to the United States for the first time, filling the gap in Zhangzhou sea fishing exports, and exporting canned fish to the European and American seas doubled. Implementing the reform of export food law and inspection system, adopting new rapid customs clearance modes such as "paperless inspection report" and "immediate reporting and release" to ensure smooth customs clearance.
