According to statistics, from January to June 2017, Zhangzhou Bureau of Inspection and Quarantine exported a total of 417,000 tons of sea-fishing cans with a value of 60,789,000 US dollars, up by 20.3% and 15.9% over the same period of last year. Under the situation of weak global economic recovery, the export quantity and amount of sea-fishing cans in Zhangzhou achieved substantial growth.

 

 

 

Since 2017, Zhangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has actively promoted the project of "same line, same standard and homogeneity" for export of food and agricultural products enterprises of the State Bureau and Xiamen Bureau. It has given full play to its advantages in information technology and helped to increase the export of marine fishing cans by a large margin. On the one hand, it has carried out the national technical regulations and trade policies for the major trade in marine fishing cans. To study and collect relevant mandatory regulations, standards and technical requirements in a timely manner so as to help enterprises understand foreign standards and regulations in a timely manner, make full use of foreign tariff preferential policies, and further expand exports. On the other hand, we should give full play to our technological advantages, strengthen technical guidance for the key links of raw materials and processing of export canned enterprises, enhance the self-inspection and self-control ability of enterprises, strengthen the main consciousness, and improve the quality of products.

 

 

 

In addition, the reform of export food law and inspection system should be implemented, and new customs clearance modes such as "reporting immediately and releasing immediately" should be adopted to effectively ensure smooth customs clearance of products.

 

 

 

Canned fish in the sea is a newly developed high value added variety in recent years by the Zhangzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau. It is also a new growth point for Zhangzhou's Canned exports. At present, canned fish in the sea is already the second largest export canned goods in Zhangzhou, mainly including canned mackerel, sardines, canned tuna and canned saury.
