The Embassy of Brazil said other countries had cancelled the canned beef import from Pakistan. 2018-11-06 17:58:54

The Embassy of Brazil said other countries had cancelled the canned beef import from Pakistan.

Sources said the Brazilian Embassy pointed out that the main trade markets, including the European Union, the United States, Canada, Russia and the United Arab Emirates, had not completely banned imports of meat products from Brazil after understanding the illegal practices in the inspection of Brazilian meat products.

It is reported that some of these countries have adopted measures to ban imports of 21 companies involved in the investigation of "problematic meat products", partly raising the inspection and quarantine standards.

Until yesterday, China, Chile, Egypt, Barbados and South Korea had imposed a total ban on imports from Brazil, according to the Brazilian Embassy in Denmark, but these countries have indicated that the ban will be limited to only 21 companies with meat products problems.

The Embassy in Brazil also disclosed the names of 21 companies.
