Canned asparagus shoots have always been a characteristic and traditional canned food in Zhangzhou, and it is also one of the canned products for export in Zhangzhou. Zhangzhou Bureau of Inspection and Quarantine has made great efforts to play its role and taken three measures to boost the export of canned asparagus bamboo shoots. First, it has promoted the construction of the quality and safety demonstration zone for export of asparagus bamboo shoots in Nanjing County. Taking the annual review of the demonstration area as an opportunity, we should constantly improve the working mechanism of "government-led, department-linked, ENTERPRISE-MAIN body, market operation, participation of all parties and benefit of the whole people", promote the construction of a social co-governance system for food safety, and ensure the safety of export canned raw materials from the source. The two is to promote the transformation and upgrading of canned export bamboo shoots enterprises. Utilizing its own information technology advantages, we should guide and adjust the structure of export products, gradually reduce the export of large cans of raw materials, develop high value-added products such as small cans, glass bottles and soft packaging, and increase the market share of high-end products such as the United States and Japan. In the first quarter of 2017, the average export unit price of canned asparagus shoots increased by 11.3% compared with the same period last year, which greatly improved the economic benefits of enterprises and promoted the healthy development of export canned industry in Zhangzhou. The three is to reform the mode of export inspection. Through risk assessment, export sampling inspection is carried out for export cans with potential risks. For export cans with self-inspection and self-control qualifications, enterprises are required to report and release immediately so as to realize zero waiting for customs clearance and greatly improve the level of customs clearance convenience.

 

 

 

According to statistics, from January to March 2017, Zhangzhou Bureau of Inspection and Quarantine exported 505 batches of canned asparagus shoots with a total quantity of 7773 tons and a value of 9.49 million US dollars, an increase of 9.5%, 2.2% and 13.7% over the same period of last year, mainly to Japan, the United States, the European Union, Hong Kong, South Korea and other countries and regions, of which Japan has a market share of more than 50%.
