In order to better protect the lives of ethnic minorities in the disaster area, the provincial commerce department acted quickly, immediately contacted and coordinated with a number of enterprises, collected 20 tons of canned Muslim food such as cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks and geese, and overnight transported it from Suining City to the victims of two Hui nationality townships in Qingchuan County, Guangyuan City.

 

The provincial commerce department contacted the provincial people's committees and other departments on its own initiative to fully understand the dietary habits of ethnic minorities in the disaster-stricken areas such as Beichuan, Pingwu and Qingchuan. On this basis, the provincial commerce department established a special supply mechanism with the key producers of Muslim food, such as Mining Group, to fully guarantee the special food needs of the

 

At present, tents and movable houses are badly needed in the disaster area. The provincial commercial department has taken various measures to help solve the problem of shortage of tents in the disaster area, such as actively striving for international assistance, requesting the support of the Ministry of Commerce and coordinating the commercial and trade enterprises in the province.

 

So far, 1,300 tents donated by the Korean government and 400 tents donated by the Ministry of Commerce have been transported to the disaster area. The 1,500 tents donated by the British government, 400 by the United Nations Children's Fund and 3,000 by Haoyue and many other companies in Chengdu will also be delivered to Chengdu. In addition, the 40 thousand tents coordinated by the Ministry of Commerce will be shipped soon.
