Home-made mushroom foods, including home-made snacks containing mushroom ingredients, salads and canned mushrooms, have been banned under the latest mushroom commodity trading regulations issued by authorities in the Russian city of Bensa.

 

In recent years, researchers have found a dramatic increase in the number of serious illnesses caused by home-made canned mushrooms. Studies have shown that botulinum toxins in the soil are absorbed by mushrooms and can survive well under hypoxic conditions, thus forming a strong toxin in the mushroom body. Due to the limitation of home-made canned mushrooms and food processing technology and equipment, the toxins in mushrooms can not be discharged through high temperature. Relevant departments suggest that citizens buy regular canned mushrooms and related food produced by regular factories.
