Data show that as a traditional representative of convenience food, canned food industry has maintained steady growth in both export and domestic sales in recent years. According to the statistics of the State Bureau of Statistics, the total output of the canning industry in China in 2015 was 12.26 million tons, an increase of 32% over 2010. In 2015, sales of products in the whole industry amounted to about 167 billion 928 million yuan, an increase of 83.33% over 2010.
 
 
 
According to the statistics of the export situation of the State Customs Administration, the total export volume of canned goods in 2015 was 4.776 billion US dollars, an increase of 38.39% over 2010's 3.451 billion US dollars.
 
 
 
Liang Zhongkang said that since 2010, the output of China's canning industry has increased, but the output value has increased more. Among them, the increase in export volume indicates that canned products in China have gradually changed from low-end products with low quality to medium-quality products with slightly higher value-added and well-known in the international market.
 
 
 
It is worth noting that the total sales of canned goods in the domestic market amounted to 9 million 693 thousand tons in 2015, an increase of 8.9% over 2010. In this regard, Liang Zhongkang said that as more and more canning enterprises began to attach importance to and cultivate the domestic market in recent years, the domestic sales of canned goods have been increasing day by day, and the product momentum, status and market outlook have been improved compared with the past, but there are still serious homogenization of products in the market competition, lack of national brands and most of the consumption.
