The United States is one of the important destination countries for Zhangzhou's export of canned foods. In recent years, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has increased the frequency and intensity of inspection of low-acid canned and acidified food enterprises in China. Every year, many enterprises in the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau are inspected. In order to ensure that the operation of the quality and safety system of Zhangzhou canning enterprises can continuously meet the requirements of the Federal Regulations of the United States and ensure the smooth customs clearance of canned goods transported to the United States, the Zhangzhou Bureau, taking the quality monthly activities as an opportunity, combines with the 2016 HACCP certification and supervision arrangements, carefully organizes, formulates detailed plans, and carries out special inspection of canned enterprises transported to the United States within its jurisdiction. Check is one of the important contents of quality improvement of this event.

 

 

 

Since 2010, 11 of the 14 canning enterprises in Zhangzhou inspection area have accepted the strict on-site inspection by the FDA on an average of 3.5 days. The passing rate is 100%. The level of quality and safety management of enterprises has been approved by FDA officials. From January to August 2016, 408 batches, 8665 tons and 94.33 million US dollars of canned goods were exported to Zhangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, which increased by 36.4%, 33.1% and 60.9% respectively over the same period of last year. All export products met the requirements of American laws and regulations and achieved zero notification abroad.
