Recently, due to the untrue reports of individual websites, the article about adding preservatives to canned fruits has been circulating on the Internet, which has caused a very bad impact on society. Canning enterprises all over the country have sent letters to the China Canning Industry Association, hoping that the association will come forward to clarify, to face up to hearing, so that the vast number of Internet users and consumers have an objective, fair and scientific understanding of canned food. China canned industry association solemnly declares as follows:
 
1. Canned food is one of the earliest and oldest industries in China's food industry. From the 1950s to the global market, China has become one of the largest canned food producers and exporters in the world. Canned food in China enjoys a good reputation in the international market and is well received by consumers all over the world.
 
2. In 2011, China exported 3.8 million tons of canned goods, including fruits, meat and vegetables, with an export value of 4.55 billion US dollars. This is the most important variety of agricultural products exported in China. The United States, Japan and Europe are the most important markets, accounting for about 60% of China's total exports. The quality standard of canned food is completely in line with international standards, which is in line with the requirements of the international code CAC and the United States FDA. Canned food is regarded as one of the safe and reliable food in our country under the situation that food safety is highly valued at present.
 
3. The core of canned food processing technology is container sealing and high temperature sterilization. Foods are kept aseptically in vacuum, and food hygiene, safety and nutrition are fully guaranteed. Canned food processing need not add any preservatives, China's food safety national standard "food additives usage standard (GB2760-2011)" involves canned food can be allowed to add a variety of food additives in all food is the smallest, canned food can be safely eaten.
 
4. In recent years, the backbone enterprises of China's canning industry have vigorously implemented quality system management such as HACCP, and the continuous level of production mechanization has been improved, both hardware and software levels have reached the international advanced level.
