According to the statistics of China Canning Industry Association, the export volume of oranges, pears and other canned goods decreased by 5%-32% from January to June this year, while the export volume of peach canned goods increased by only 2.9%. While the output of canned goods increased month by month this year, exports were going down a downward line.

The leaders of more than 100 canning enterprises in China and experts from relevant fields jointly helped the canning industry to change its situation from export to both domestic and foreign markets. To improve quality and efficiency, ease the pressure of rising costs, improve product value added and brand awareness.
Facing the pressure of less than 1.6% export profit margin and rising raw materials and labor costs year by year, the cannery enterprises participating in the meeting are particularly sensitive to such practical problems as market share reduction and benefit space extrusion. It is understood that Dalian, as the main producer of canned yellow peaches in China, this year the purchase price of yellow peaches is about 0.25 yuan higher than Anhui and other places per kilogram, and the cost pressure is further highlighted. It has become a consensus at this strategic seminar to strengthen the construction of raw material bases for processing such as yellow peach, speed up the technological transformation of processing continuity and mechanization, promote industrial upgrading and sustainable development, and strive for national support policies for innovative projects.
Liang Zhongkang, chairman of the China Canning Industry Association, said that there are more than 300 canning enterprises with annual sales volume of 30 tons and 5 billion US dollars, which are exported to 150 countries and regions. However, because of the rising cost in recent years, the competitiveness of the international market has declined. Driven by the dual demand of domestic and foreign markets, it is imperative for cannery enterprises to adjust the market structure and speed up the pace of export to domestic sales.
