In the first half of this year, Zhangzhou canned goods exported to the United States in 310 lots, weighing 7,263 tons and with a value of 7.32 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 33%, 41% and 61% compared with the same period of the same period last year, while in the first half of 2015, canned goods exported to the United States increased by 26%, 35% and 29% compared with the same period in 2014.

 

 

 

The United States is one of the main export markets of canned mushrooms in Zhangzhou. However, since 2012, the United States refused to import many canned mushrooms from Zhangzhou for the reason that "carbendazim" was found to be unqualified. The export of canned mushrooms from Zhangzhou to the United States has been impacted to a certain extent. Under this unfavorable condition, the inspection and quarantine of Zhangzhou, Xiamen has been carried out. The Bureau actively took measures to strengthen the technical guidance of canning enterprises to realize the continuous growth of canned goods exported to the United States. On the one hand, it strengthened the management of production registration of canned goods exported to the United States, helped one canned aquatic product enterprise to obtain the FDA registration smoothly, and helped 11 canned goods enterprises to pass the FDA inspection smoothly 16 times.

 

 

 

On the other hand, the reform of export food law inspection should be taken as a key point to guide enterprises to establish production process control programs from source to finished products according to the requirements of US technical regulations, especially for the items that FDA focuses on, so as to ensure the quality and safety of canned goods exported to the United States.

 

 

 

In addition, it helped Zhangzhou mushroom cans return to the U.S. market after four years, and helped tuna cans enter the U.S. market for the first time.
