Canned food is a traditional export food in Fujian, but in recent years, the status of the province which exports canned food is facing severe challenges. And the emergence of new products of canned tomato paste will boost Fujian's Canned exports. According to incomplete statistics, in the first half of 2009, Fujian Bureau of Inspection and Quarantine inspected and exported 6 599.9 tons of canned tomato paste, 8 818,000 US dollars.

 

In view of the fact that the main source of tomato raw materials is in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, and the canned tomato paste in Fujian Province is still in its infancy, the Fujian Bureau of Inspection and Quarantine has implemented individualized inspection and quarantine measures. From the beginning of enterprises'application for export, the personnel of key processes such as sealing and sterilization of canned tomato paste have been trained, and the key parameters of equipment operation have been entered. To supervise and control, strengthen the confirmation of key sterilization formula and commercial sterility inspection to ensure that export products meet the requirements of importing countries.
