Since the beginning of this year, the output of canned Enterprises above the national scale has increased by more than 7%, but exports have continued to decline, and the export of canned fruits has decreased by 20-30%. Recently, the National Canning Industry Strategic Seminar sponsored by the China Canning Industry Association and sponsored by the Food Co., Ltd. was held. The leaders of more than 100 canning enterprises in China and experts from relevant fields jointly put forward suggestions for this situation: from export to both domestic and foreign markets to improve quality, increase efficiency and ease costs. Increase pressure, improve product value added and brand awareness.

 

China has become one of the world's leading canned producers and exporters, and Dalian is the main producer of canned yellow peaches in China. But since last year, the export market of canned food has been on the low side. According to the statistics of China Canning Industry Association, the export volume of oranges, pears and other canned goods decreased by 5%-32% from January to June this year, while the export volume of peach canned goods increased by only 2.9%. In this year, the output of canned goods increased month by month, while exports went out of a downward line.

 

Facing the pressure of less than 1.6% export profit margin and rising raw materials and labor costs year by year, the cannery enterprises participating in the meeting are particularly sensitive to such practical problems as market share reduction and benefit space extrusion. It is understood that Dalian, as the main producer of canned yellow peaches in China, this year the purchase price of yellow peaches is about 0.25 yuan higher than Anhui and other places per kilogram, and the cost pressure is further highlighted. It has become a consensus at this strategic seminar to strengthen the construction of raw material bases for processing such as yellow peach, speed up the technological transformation of processing continuity and mechanization, promote industrial upgrading and sustainable development, and strive for national support policies for innovative projects.

 

Liang Zhongkang, chairman of the China Canning Industry Association, said that there are more than 300 canning enterprises with an annual sales volume of 30 tons and 5 billion US dollars, and they are exported to 150 countries and regions. However, due to the rising cost in recent years, the competitiveness of the international market has declined. Driven by the double demand of the domestic and foreign markets, canning enterprises have been able to export to more than 150 countries and regions. It is urgent for head producers to adjust their market structure and speed up their export to domestic sales.
