The 20th anniversary and general meeting of China Canning Industry Association will be held in Beijing on Sept. 10. It is reported that there will be about 400 participants, such as outstanding enterprises, representatives of upstream and downstream enterprises.

 

 

 

The 20th anniversary meeting of the Canning Industry Association will focus on the theme of "achievements, responsibilities, inheritance, foresight - 20 years in the same boat with the wind and rain". The past 20 years have witnessed the development of the canning industry and the canned food industry.

 

 

 

Leaders of relevant departments, such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Food and Drug Administration, and heads of relevant scientific research institutions, such as China Agricultural University and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, will also be invited to attend the meeting.

 

 

 

 

The conference is divided into six chapters: opening, retrospect, innovation, market, capital and cooperation, and outlook. Through the retrospect of several entrepreneurs who have experienced a long history, it will show the glory and brilliance of canned food industry. In the narrative of outstanding entrepreneurs growing up with the reform and opening up, the innovative road of the canned industry will be highlighted. In the development of the canning industry, it will be a new mission for the younger generation of cannery entrepreneurs to accurately understand the changes in the domestic and foreign markets and strengthen cooperation with capital.

 

 

 

It is understood that the China Canning Industry Association was established in August 1995, and now has more than 500 members, including major canning production, business enterprises, supporting products, equipment manufacturing enterprises, scientific research and education testing units and foreign investment companies and institutions in China. According to the director of China Canning Industry Association, with the development of China's economy and society, despite the misunderstanding of "long shelf life, adding preservatives" and so on, the canning industry in China is still growing at a high speed in recent years. Over the past decade, the total output of canned goods in China has increased from more than 1 million tons to more than 10 million tons, and the export volume of canned goods has also increased from 700,000 tons to more than 3 million tons. Moreover, due to the changes in the lifestyle of the younger generation, the canning industry is ushering in the historical opportunities of the second spring such as "kitchen market", "backpack market" and "reserve box market" under the background of kitchen simplification, fashion, outdoor sports and leisure tourism.
