Foodnews News: Chilean industry insiders said that due to the current adverse hot weather, peach cans production is expected to reduce by 500,000 standard boxes.

 

At present, Chile is expected to produce 5 million standard boxes of peach cans in the region, which is lower than the expected figure of 500,000 boxes, but still higher than last year's production of 1 million boxes. In addition, other canned fruits with small packaging specifications, such as assorted fruit cans and pear cans, are planned to be produced.

 

It is understood that in the new season, the FOB price of the selected high sugar cans in Chile is as high as $25-26 per box.

 

Chilean manufacturers said they expected to end production on March 15-20 this year, ahead of last year.
